As I had said yesterday that over the next few days we shall be discussing alternate personality tests. The first such personality test is the Handwriting Analysis Test. Handwriting as an indicator of personality was known since far back in history. Over 2000 years ago Aristotle has observed a connection between handwriting and personality while the Chinese also made the independent observation that character influenced writing.
However it was only until the early 17th century that the study of handwriting assumed a more scientific nature. Various professors and graphologists over the years have devoted decades to the study of handwriting and its link to personality. Alfred Binet, the renowned psychologist who founded the present method of I.Q. Testing for intelligence was a firm believer of handwriting analysis. He proved that certain personality traits are reflected in handwriting.
Handwriting analysis is not about the content of a document but about the actual handwriting, structure, formation, spacing, etc of the letters. This is because these aspects of your handwriting are influenced greatly by your emotions and feelings.
As of now, handwriting analysis has been validated as a method of personality assessment by research involving both empirical and clinical procedures. The interpretation of different handwriting is out of the scope of this article but rich information on this topic is available on the Internet. We encourage you to check it out.
