1.	Your crush is heading right toward you with a group of his friends, when he passes by you he... smiles quickly but keeps on walking with his crew. makes brief eye contact but nothing else. stops with his friends and says a few quick words before heading on his way. stops, sends his friends on ahead, and focuses all his attention on talking to you.
2.	Whenever you call him he... talks to you for a little while, mostly about school. usually he isn't home or is too busy to come to the phone, but when he is available he mostly talks about other girls. he makes pleasant conversation about school and friends and sometimes talks about more personal stuff. talks about personal stuff more than school and often makes flirtatious comments.
3.	You are both at the same party when the flirtiest guy in school starts paying full attention to you. When your crush notices that you are this guy's target for the evening he... smiles, winks, sticks out his tongue, and gives you a sarcastic thumbs up. barely seems to notice, or worse, points it out to his pals with a big grin on his face. smiles when your eyes meet, but frowns when he thinks you aren't looking. heads directly over to you and the flirty dude and joins in on the conversation, quickly putting a stop to the competitions come-ons with his witty comments.
4.	You've been sick at home for over a week and are back at school for the first time. When your crush sees you standing at your locker he... tells you that he heard you were sick and is glad you are feeling better. asks if he can copy your science notes from last week. jokingly asks if you are still contagious, and then adds that he is happy to see you back because school has been lame without you there. asks if you liked the care package he dropped off at your house after your Mom said you were too sick to talk on the phone.

He is still good friends with his ex-girlfriend and it is well known that she still wants him back, when she sees you talking to him she... notices that you are talking to him but seems unconcerned. does nothing, he never talks to you when she is around. watches as you talk to him with a slightly annoyed look on her face. watches the conversation closely with a sour look on her face and always interrupts after 10 minutes has passed.
